On September 23rd, political and corporate leaders are meeting at the United Nations in New York City for the Climate Summit 2014. This summit represents yet another step toward the corporate takeover of the UN climate negotiations, and the privatization of land, water and air resources under the guise of a global climate compact.
Actions targeting local issues will be launched across the globe and in the Pacific Northwest in solidarity and in concert with the NYC actions, including:
** 3pm, SW Hawthorne Bridge & SW Naito Parkway **
Join us for the largest climate justice mobilization in history
as people take it to the streets across the country and the world on September 21
This is an invitation to change everything. To change everything we need everybody. A better world is within our reach: a world with an economy that works for people and the planet; a world safe from the ravages of climate change; a world with good jobs, clean air and water, and healthy communities.
